Our journey to Spain took place from August 20 to September 3, 1997.

At first we went to the Cote d'Azur to visit Monaco, Nice and Sete. Then we went on the Costa Brava to Madrid.

From there we went to the town of Simancas where our host group „Grupo de Danzas y Paloteo Sietemancas“ lives. We were extraordinarily accomodated and feasted by our hosts. We stayed there for one week which was too short for all of us.

We visited a wine cellar, museums, the historical city of Segovia and a farm where bulls are reared for bullfights. The highlight and simultaneously the end of our stay was the International Dance Festival in Simancas.

After these beautiful but exhausting days we started our journey back home.

The route led us via Montpellier, Marseille, Nice, Genoa and the Garda-lake back home to Stainz.

We formed many friendships and often think back to this great journey.
